Biography

My name is Christy Schroeder and I currently am the part time Art and Physical Education teacher at St. Joseph's Consolidated School in Hamilton. I began my education at St. Ann's school in Hamilton for grades K-8 and attended Stephen T. Badin High School.  I graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a degree in Elementary Education K-8 in 1999 and became fully licensed in the state of Ohio.  After staying at home with my two children and providing daycare for several families, I chose to go back to Miami and further my art classes to continue my license to teach in Ohio. The 2022-2023 school year marks my 12th year at St. Joseph's School. I have two children with my husband of over 27 years. My son, Jonathan, is an alumni of St. Joseph's and just graduated from Ohio State university. Jonathan currently works at Terrace Park Golf Course. He is married to a wonderful girl name Khloe (Widmeyer) Schroeder and they have my 2 precious grandchildren.  My 22 year old daughter is an alumni of St. Joseph's and Just graduated as fourth generation in our family at Badin High School. She will is attending UC and will graduate in Spring 2023.   I enjoy spending with my grandchildren and family. I also making homemade soap and crafts during my free time. My motto for our students is "anything worth doing is worth doing well!"
